With her violin in hand and daily access to a piano in our local SiNEM Institute (National System of Musical Education) she worked on completion of her newest album, concluding her residency with a public recital. A close-up of Melanie and her work can found on her website: http://www.melanieedwardslabs.com/

Intercultural ODYSSEYS Exploring Art & Culture in Costa Rica
. . . by sharing your experience, knowledge, and skills with other creative minds who think as globally as you do, whether they live locally or hail from abroad.
Because the time you dedicate to your art is precious, the ODYSSEYS one-of-a-kind Artist Residency offers unique work and living space in a carefully selected Home Stay with a local host family, most meals included. Each artist is chosen by a rigorous committee-selection process, and our artist-in-residence program is open to writers, composers, visual artists and artists in all other disciplines, emerging or established, from anywhere in the world.
. . . by ODYSSEYS, a different kind of Artists' Colony in Costa Rica. If making plans on short notice please inquire regarding availability and ask about our expedited application process. Occasionally an artist must unexpectedly reschedule and we are always eager to fill these spaces.
